Pikachu backpack arrived today

Milo had a pikachu toy that broke and he was very sad.  He used his money to buy a new pikachu toy that is a plush backpack.

Alphabet work, reading with mom, and lost the third tooth

Milo lost his third tooth last night!  This morning we read together and he worked on spelling with Jaymon and the day is young  :)

Writing poetry with Donna

Our home instruction visiting teacher came to visit and we worked on poetry.  I made a poetry book with several styles of poetry.

Milo lost his top two teeth.

Milo lost his first two top teeth last night.  He had fun playing hot/cold while hunting for quarters the tooth fairy hid for him!

Lots of reading

Milo has been working hard at reading with Jaymon.  
He needs encouragement to focus.
Angela read Roscoe Riley with him.  He has been working on writing as well.

Taking care of our earth

Milo made drawings and colored a card for his mama! He also decorated a flower pot with seeds and soil in it.

Learned about recycling at block class

Recycling means to use something again like paper, cardboard, and glass. Also like making art out of egg cartons.

Learning about money

Donna, our visiting teacher came over this morning and we played a game called Money Bags and learned about counting money.

Tongue and a scientist hat

Milo learned about the tongue today and made a scientist hat at block class.

Block Class Projects

Milo made a tin can telephone and a percussion shaker egg.
He was sick the last 2 wednesdays and was really excited to be back today.

Magic School Bus book with Donna

Today Donna came over to work with Sam and Milo.  They read a Magic School Bus book and made a diagram.

Dentist, Jerry's, and the Library

  Today Milo and his brother Archimedes went to the dentist

and then we stopped by Des Moines Feed Store.   He had a lovely time playing with the big fat gray cat that lives there.

We saw our friend Jerry at the Feed store and we went to his house to pick out a new girlfriend duck for our Muscovy Frieda (he is a boy duck)

He gave us eggs.

Sam and Mom named the new duck Gloria.

Archimedes, Dad, and I went to the Franklin avenue library for crafts and a story.  we made a kite.

Milo put together a skeleton model and then drew a picture of a skeleton and labeled athe bones.

Milo finished level 1 of hooked on Phonics today!!!

first day of swim lessons

Milo had much more fun at swim lessons today than last session.  He was more outgoing with his peers and far less timid in the water.
