Upset about not getting a treat at school

The first thing Milo said when he got off the bus was that he did not get a treat for his writing. It took some asking questions to get more details.

He is excited to work on writing numbers.

Lunch and sight words

Milo brought home the book Lunch. He is supposed to read it and then take it back to exchange for a new one. Very fitting that the first book he brings home has this title since Milo adores lunch at school and has tried several new foods there.

The sight words we are working on at home are from the homework stories and the book. He can read some of the book but needs the pictures still.

Great parent teacher conference!

Milo goes half day at Brubaker elementary school and is in Mrs. Brehms classroom.

It was great to hear Mrs. Brehm tell us about milo in the classroom. He has made great improvements in his writing in a short time since starting school.

She said he was polite and well mannered and he seems happy at school. Milo was very brave and told her about some bullys that were making him anxious by telling him they were going to eat him and it sounds like they were going to be talked to for someone else as well.

We had a party tonight after the conference to celebrate Milo being a hard worker. We had balloons, celebrate plates and napkins, stickers, and little toys. They also had candy and marshmallows! Fun was had by all :)

We have been concerned with Milo's fine motor skills however he showed that he is quite capable in his letter writing.

Fun at the Botanical Center

Today we went to the botanical center.
We saw plants and fish.

Fun at the Science Center

We played the fishing game and I blew big bubbles. I also sorted the toy vegetables.
We went to the planetarium and watched movies.
I watched a science experiment that my brother Archimedes helped with.

More Flat Stanley at block class

Yesterday at block class we talked about Flat Stanley going to Mexico.

They used Stanley as a cape to fight the bull but his mother wouldn't let him be in he bull fight. Some kids thought he was a piñata.

Flat Stanley also went to the arctic to go snowboarding. A man tried to use him as a snowboard and he yelled AAAAAh! Flat Stanley was afraid of going snow skiing.


We went to the gym at block class. In the gym I ran on the blue line around the track and off I the blue line and I also ran backwards.

I got a drink and didn't put my mouth on the fountain. It's not easy for me to do that.

First day of kindergarten at Brubaker

I just started half day kindergarten at Brubaker. I ride the bus with Jupiter.
My teachers name is Mrs. Brehm.
We talked about winter and building a snowman. I read a snow book.
I ate a hamburger at lunch but not my fruit.
All of the kids were too loud and I yelled to tell them to be quiet but they didn't listen. They listened to the teacher in the classroom.

The bus to take me home left without me and had to come back and get me.
