Fun at the Creek

Yesterday we went to the creek.  We saw rocks and fossils. Some of the rocks had sparkly crystals in them.

We even saw a skeleton.

  I got weed seeds on my pants.  I had to pull them out.  I cant take all of them out.  

We walked across a bridge and I ran up and down the hill.  I ran to where Sam parked his bike.  Sam rode his bike to the creek.  We rode in the van.  I want to ride my bike to the creek like Sam.

My bike could go super fast down the hill but pedaling up the hill is harder.

We went to the Central Academy to participate in the Winter Craft day. I made some ornaments for our tree. I made a snowman, gingerbread man, and even a reindeer.

The Capital building

Yesterday we went to the capital building.

I saw a giant boat.




We walked up and down lots of stairs and looked at the sky painted on the building ceiling. We saw an eagle in the sky in the capital building.




Then we walked across the street to the State Library.




We saw a skeleton there. I have been learning about skeletons at school.
Bones are called skeletons and skeletons are made of bones.

I shopped at Hy-Vee

We shopped at the Pleasant Hill Hy-Vee.
We shopped for milk,cereal,cheese,eggs,and produce.
The milk, eggs, and cheese are found in coolers.

School Field Trip with Home Instruction

We took a bus trip around Des Moines to look at many places.

We stopped at the Botanical Center and I got to go inside.

I saw plants, trees, steps, money in a money box, and a rainbow sculpture.

I looked at the Capital Building.  It rained a lot when we were on our trip on the bus.  

I sat with my friend Keenan on the yellow bus and I lost my yellow folder but I got another one from a teacher.  We got maps of the sculpture garden that we drove by.

Saylorville lake with my family

I found a feather, fossils, and a bone at the lake.

I looked at a frog.

 I built a sandcastle and saw a crayfish.

 "what happens when you throw rocks in the water Milo?"

Milo- "it makes ripples"

I climbed up the big rocks.

Lungs and brain and spine

There were pencils at school and I drawed (drew).

The teacher gave me a round sheet.  It was green.

I went to the bathroom because the teacher said. I went with Keenan.

I went downstairs and then I played outside. 

There were buckets with ropes on them upside down to walk on them.

Learning about the weather using paper dolls

Today Donna came over and we colored and cut out paper dolls. We talked about how to dress for the weather using the paper dolls.
